Legend of Korra Season 4 swamp

Another piece of mine from the Korra season 4 art book- this was a really fun area for me to work on, as it was very close to my favorite kind of place in the world! I love swamps and temperate rainforests. Maybe it is my Scottish/ Irish heritage, but they really call to me. I found reference of the Japanese island of Yakushima to be of great help in these paintings. I used a photo book of Yakushima from my Disney days that Paul Felix suggested to me. I still love the book. Someday I'll have to go to the real place!
